Foundation of the company: Eduard Ifanger patented the first tools for internal turning

1924

First production plant at Seestrasse in Uster

1925

Construction of the first hand grinding machine

1929

Development of the  High Speed Steel tools for external turning

1930

Moving to the newly built plant at Forchstrasse in Uster

1932

Starting as an exclusive agent for ALBRECHT high-precision chucks

1934

Enlargement of the production programme by counterbore cutters

1942

Extension of the production plant at Forchstrasse in Uster

1954

Development of the tool holder for carbide inserts with internal cooling through the shank

1960

First carbide tips "PHAENOM"

1964

Starting as an exclusive agent for KOMET turning tools with carbide tips

1968

Eduard Ifanger dies at the age of 74 years

1971

Changing the status of the company to a limited partnership under the direction of the sons-in-law Joseph Spuler and Guido Jenny

1974

Starting as an exclusive agent for HERTEL carbide tools, Fürth

1975

Starting the production in the new production plant at Steigstrasse 4a, Uster

1976

Starting as an exclusive agent for KESTAG in HSS milling cutters

Implementation of the first IT-System by NCR in  Administration

1984

First HSS-Tools with TIN coating

1987

Development of HSS tips for turning and cutting

1990

Changing the company’s status from a limited partnership into a limited company

1991

Joseph Spuler retires

1994

Purchasing of the activities of Randag AG and starting the production and sales of knurling tools

1996

Development of HSS tips for milling under the Brand DamaCut

1997

Development of the MicroTurn tools for internal turning starting at a Ø 1 mm

1998

Guido Jenny retires. Stephan Spuler, grandson of Eduard Ifanger, takes over the management of the company
Quality management certification as per ISO 9002

1999

Implementation of the first IT-System "alpha px2" by BFI Informatik AG

2000

Starting with the first fully-automatic Grindingmachine with handling-system, introduction of a 2nd and 3rd shift without personnel

2001

Certification of the entire company following the quality system ISO 9001:2000

2004

Starting with the sales of BIMU tools (external turning)

Implementation of the new IT-System Microsoft Dynamics NAV for both, Administration and Production

2011

First continous CAD/CAM-System for construction and programming for turning and milling

2013

Further development of the MicroTurn internal turning tool for bores starting at Ø 0,3 mm

2017

100 - anniversary of Ifanger AG

2019

Implementation of the succession plan: Daniel Dieterich acquires and takes-over the tool activities of Ifanger AG.

2020

NTK Cutting Tools trusts Ifanger as its reseller & customer support in Switzerland.
